so while I wait for part to turn up for the lighthouse from far off lands (china if you ever find something you want on e bay keep looking you may find it on ebay but from china and it will be a lot cheaper you just have to wait a few weeks) so while looking at my box of plasticard iv got a load of bits a pieces lots of leftovers etc etc .I went to the model shop and bought some more sheets and started building a rather big model this will eventually be the steel works .

That is an amazing collection of odds and ends Jim, you are a brave man to put them together that way and make it work.... but you have succeeded in doing so and I am sure it will be most convincing when it's finished.
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?

Yes defiantly going to have some rust and grime .it's going to be on legs so trains can pass underneath. And some lighting too.its a very big model.

It's great how you just grab bits and go for it. I fuss too much and spend ages pondering!

Starting to look good Jim, weathering is an art that I have yet to master. It is surprising the effects you get by wiping and washing off weathering.
