Re: Merlins Castle Line
The tree stump is now gone, a few hours digging to expose the roots and the next day to cut through them. A bit of leverage back and for with a bar and the final shove with body weight and over it went.
Making the most of the view now as when the shed arrives it will be blocked out. The site is south facing so gets the sun all day ( when we get sun )lol
A lovely glass of merlot I think when the shed is up.
I will post some pics of the houses I have made soon.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
Shed arrived this morning Yippeee. Was worried about losing view, but there was no need, it looks just perfect. A long way to go yet to get railway started, but it’s going to be a great adventure. Haven’t had my glass of wine yet lol.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
Thank you tom tom, I am pleased tho, it’s better than I expected, going to insulate it next as it blows a gale here in winter.
Re: Merlins Castle Line
It's not just a shed, it's a Mark's and Spencer shed and I'm jealous too.
I like your bargain building, don't think my eyes are trained enough to spot possible charity shop conversions.

Your shed looks far better than I expected and the setting is beautiful. Your houses are great and will help fill out your village scene along with the other items you already have.

What a shed, I am deeply envious.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
Love the progress and the little buildings Julie. Love the topic title as well. I was kind of thinking along the same name as my one live steamer is a Merlin Mayflower. I just haven't found a castle that can withstand being outdoors in the weather year round here in the states. My Mayflower is named Smaug after the fire breathing dragon in the Hobbit book.
