Re: Merlins Castle Line
Track is now laid in shed and is looking good thanks to help from Peter.
Unfortunately no photos again. Take photos on my iPhone 4s pics get sent to iPad but still says file too large and now won’t load to Mac where I could resize. Never mind I will persevere until it’s working.

Glad it's worked. The app like many others has to be set to reduce the size of the original images.Just Julie wrote: ↑Sat Mar 24, 2018 2:39 am Thank you Tom Tom for your help with snapseed. I had to reduce to lowest size. Really happy now

Hi Julie, Love your line, It’s looks brilliant.
Have you tried sending your photo’s to your Mac by Airdrop. It’s an app that should be built into you phone.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
Julie,
Great to follow the progress of your line. I wish when I bought my house I'd known I was going to want a railway in my garden. I'd have made sure my garden was bigger. Now I'm limited to a small plot. At the time I wanted something easy to maintain.
If I put a shed in my garden the size of your's it would take up half! Nevertheless I'll figure something out while saving up and acquiring everything I'll need.
For the time being I'm limited to running my trains as a guest on local lines belonging to modellers of the 16mm association.
Enjoy your railway. I'm sure it will provide you with much enjoyment.

Looks like things are progressing nicely, Julie - even though the sub-contracted supervisory workforce does seem to be taking it a bit too easy ......

Nice bit of workmanship in the hot conditions. Some of the pictures really show the slope you are working on. It's looking good.

A very pleasant couple of days working together to get things moving forward after a short break. The temperature reached 33 degrees on Wednesday so a number of rest periods with cool drinks were needed. We 'seniors' don't need to rush!

Hoping now that it keeps dry for another week so that it can be all up and running. Then it will be deciding how to arrange the centre, have a few ideas in mind tho. I can't believe how quickly it is coming together now.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
Great progress there Julie. You are facing the challenges of a steeply sloping site head on. You may have a brief pause in construction, as the weather forecast is talking of heavy rain and possible thunderstorms heading for Wales and SW England.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
At last we have had some rain here, just enough to wet the baked ground but welcome nonetheless. I think we were on the edge of a thunderstorm as a momentary power-cut occurred early afternoon.
I know it will not put Julie off her work programme as she is now determined to press on with her railway.

Just managed to paint the woodwork with preserver before the rain came, lucky it had dried first and the rain wasn't heavy.

What a beautiful location!
The bones are coming together very nicely. It's not often you see modellers using a chainsaw in the furtherance of their projects!
