The Forever Green light railway

Post by Normandin » Thu Oct 26, 2017 6:01 pm

Hello there,
My brother-in-law gave a few old pallets for free. Thanks !
So I had an idea: build a very small layout (or a big pizza layout) on one of these pallets. It could be an indoor or a real garden railway but right now I don't know. I'll use Piko G scale curved track (600mm radius). The diameter is 160cm. I used 12mm chipboard for the baseboard laying on the old pallet. Maybe one day I can run a steam loco. Only God knows...

Having a railway whatever it's size is better than no railway at all !

This could be interesting. Good luck with it and keep us posted on progress.

As I'm not rich as I want , I used the others pallets to make a kind of box (sorry I don't know the right word  ) under my layout. As always, photos talk better than words. And I know I still have lot of work to do. The garden is the very private kingdom of my lovely Golden Retriever (She's a girl). So I can't build a bigger layout.
But, after reading the Very small layout thread (What a wonderful layout), I changed my mind. I have a better idea: building four legs (2"x2") under my layout. I'm working hard on it. :study:

The former Old Pallet RR is now the FGLR: The Forever Green (very) Light Railway. And I can prove it !

Right now, I'm working hard on my first project: buying a MSS side tank loco. I'm still waiting for the green light from the authorities.
