Hi folks, more news from the rolling stock side of the line. one coal wagon awaits coupling hooks and its ready to go and another coal wagon is under construction as i speak. i will start Prowning the last rose bushes when i get back from my holiday next month,me and a friend have been discussing another loco after my loco number 2 has been Purchased. Loco number 2 will be a Roundhouse Billy with a SSP slo-mo DJB bangham whistle and summerlands chuffer fitted by me. loco number 3 will be a freelance loco based on Fowler 0-4-0 works number 16089 now preserved by the illawarra light railway museum in Albion park New south wales. this loco will be modified from a roundhouse George kit without the tender with a Diamond smoke stack and Fowler sand dome made by myself.
Hopefully i will have another update concerning the line in 1-2 weeks time.
Mitch.

Hello all. a fair bit of progress has happened this week on the line. the first bridge is under construction and the yard will be laid soon too. my Mamod is going to be slightly upgraded with a Lubricator regulator in the cab Water top up cylinder covers brass chimney top and a meths burner the loco will end up looking something like a Kerr Stuart Skylark 0-4-2 that ran in my local area of Australia. i will post some pictures of the line on the weekend. Hope you enjoyed this brief update. Mitch

Hi Mitch.

Looking forward to more reports and pictures. I note you're planning on adding either a Billy or Lady Anne to your stock. If you're going to add a slo-mo then check whether the loco you decide on can be used with insulated wheels. When I purchased my Lady Anne I had no experience of garden railways so I ordered mine with insulated wheels in case it ran as a visitor on a track powered railway. Last time I looked at the slo-mo website the Lady Anne with insulated wheels and slo-mo are not compatible.

Needless to say I've yet to visit a line which is track powered and I haven't bothered with a slo-mo even though it's on my wish list.

Regards,

Ian

Snapseed App that tom_tom_go has recommended, it works great. I have used it for some old photos that I took years ago….

Having fitted a couple of SSP Slomos I can safely say you will never get it to fit a Lady Anne running 32mm with insulated wheels (there is just not enough room).

Thanks for the confirmation Tom_Tom_go. Funds permitting I might change the wheels as I'd like a slo-mo.
Until then I'll just have to be gentle on the regulator. :D
