Cant disagree with you there Rod! It wont enter traffic for quite a while theres quite the backlog of RC installations before it gets it spot in the queue.

yeah funny that  if you can lift the 7 1/4 one i tip my hat to you, it'd weigh almost as much as the pig I reckon...

I know what you mean about queues Jake. I have so much to do. Think that's the main problem with our scale of modelling, there's always something to do.

There hasnt been much news on the garden railway lately, shortly after I made my last post I was involved in a 5 car accident and thus chasing insurance has become my new hobby  . That said I came across a pair of large Radius LGB points which has given me a nice long storage siding near the balcony and a new 7 car long passing loop at the top of the line which will complete trackwork for the time being. Next I'll be focusing on buildings and rebuilding the elevated section of line with actual trestle bents instead of the current arrangement which was just so I could get some operation happening. I'm looking forward to the classic Melbourne weather settling in over the next few months it usually proves to be quite productive being forced into the shed!

Those hideous passenger cars got a repaint, still lots more to do.

Originally I bought the Van to build my self a copy of Rurr Valley Railways EEP8 (An absolutely incredible garden railway that used to exist in Sydney, protofreelanced based on the mount Lyell railway. Very much a ground breaking line and a big influence on my interests growing up) but I decided I'd be better off scratch building as barely anything survives of the original van in the bash

TGR Y class print, this thing has been a nightmare but it keeps inching forward.

great work mate, looking great, thinking about printing a Thingyverse NSWGR signal box like the one you did soon if i can scale it up to 1:19 for my tramway to act as another building on my platform.

The much needed track modification has finally happened! Quite a bit of earthworks has been done which means ill need to replant and start building buildings but progress is progress.

That's looking very good - I like the work in progress shots with works trains and tippers etc too.

Those chunky diesels from your previous post too, very impressive!

It was nice to be reminded of the Rurr Valley line as well, thank you. I'd forgotten all about it, but I used to follow its progress regularly via the builder's excellent blog posts, and I liked it very much. I can really see the influence in your line, from the sense of purpose in operations to look and construction of the locos and stock...

Cheers,

Andrew

Apologies for the mess, there were some concerns raised about the MK2 W class print (modified from Mk1 to have the correct number of windows) being too narrow, this was correct, the extra 2mm in width makes quite a difference in length and height!

My latest design successfully printed, the side for a SAR V class van. Victoria and South Australia shared a lot of designs and this seems to be a narrow gauge version of a common wagon
