You've been busy. Good stuff......Tropic Blunder wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 2:08 am The railways first engine #14 has been extensively rebuilt with low running boards, a new 10th anniversary chassies and a good repaint to make it somewhat more Australian still needs handrails refitted and some bugs worked out in its electronics.
Have you considered painting the smokebox on #14 black? Bright silver wasn't common on Aust. railways and the model has some resemblance to one of the ex WAGR C class used on the Banksiadale timber line.
There's a colour photo of Black Butt running late in it's life in a Wikepedia article here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WAGR_C_class
That's an interesting model, what's it's origin? I thought at first it was a GRS kit, but there are body differences. There's a boxcab diesel somewhere on my bucket list, hence the interest.Tropic Blunder wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 2:08 am The lines new boxcab D1. a lovely model with probably the most tractive effort of anything ive seen in the scale besides an LGB M car.
