Merry Christmas everyone!
Pressies will wait until late afternoon by the time we've eaten Christmas dinner - I've heard rumours of delivery issues though, so probably no railway-related ones for me. Luckily, I have a birthday in January...
Have a great day!

A very Merry Christmas from me too, very wet outside but plenty of good reasons to stay in all day (other than dog walking!) Pressies come late afternoon for me too, so I will have to wait patiently.

Re: Happy Christmas...
Firstly, Diane gave me funds to purchase a kit of my choice... to be fair, I much prefer it that way, she wouldn't know what I wanted. Fortunately, I have been made aware of a brand new kit from Jerry Irwin, which I have pre-ordered and should be available shortly!
However, I have received a wonderful, non-railway present, which I can place outside my railway shed.....
Well, I think it's a good likeness!!!

Fantastic Peter, a very friendly looking chap...
I did end up with a couple of railway-related pressies yesterday. First up were these:
Yep, they're little mini clothes pegs. They seem very popular in crafting circles, goodness knows why, but I love them for clamping small parts together while glue dries...
My other railway gift was very exciting, although I can't enjoy it just yet. One of my daughters is at university in Cardiff, and has invited me to join her for a day on the Brecon Mountain Railway once it's running again and things are looking a little better pandemic-wise. I've never been and am looking forward to that very much, it looks very impressive in pictures and videos online, and the trains are currently hauled by a BIG South American Baldwin...
The weather's looking beautiful now and I'm tempted to run a train in the garden, but I shall forego that pleasure and join a family Boxing Day walk instead. Tomorrow, maybe???

Re: Happy Christmas...
Andrew, it has been some time since I travelled on the Brecon Mountain Railway but I was incredibly impressed with the whole set-up. The locomotives were in superb condition and a trip through the workshop (by way of a raised walkway), absolutely amazing. You will have a great day out there.
I like the peg idea too, plastic clamps frequently separate from their grips and are always in short supply here.
My gargoyle will be named 'Uncle Albert'.
