I was shocked into shame to discover -

Walking the dogs in the rain this morning and had a thought - does anybody else like the Smiths?

The Queen is dead - best album ever and Mr M's clever lyrics are a wonder to me.

Like a bit of Nick Drake as well.

How these two escaped my original list is beyond me.

I used to like the Smiths but now find Morrisey too much of an insufferable little tit. This has rather tainted my feelings towards the music.

Can't disagree! If I was vegan I might feel the same as him. Saw him in Glasgow this year and the Vegan only food certainly wasn't a hit with me and the wife :| good show though..

Just ordered tickets for Madness, and just seen Bryan Ferry in Bristol. Soul 2Soul and Passenger in June :D

Take it you're not going to the Mexrrissey show ? A Smiths Mexican tribute band, Tijuana style......different! I am tempted....

It's no good, I am going to have to add Kraftwerk to my list.
I have tried to keep in quiet but it needs to come out.

Mostly these days listening to

Peter Gabriel (in his various styles)
The Finn Brothers ( and their previous manifestations Crowded House and Split Enz)
Various folk music esp Bellowhead and Show of Hands.
Loudon Wainwright

frequently listen to Pink Floyd, some Beatles, Stones, Genesis,

Favourite band from my youth The Small Faces

Also very keen on African music esp west african, e.g, Salif Keita, Ali Farka Toure/ Toumani Diabete
