Earl of Merioneth; to not be withdrawn?

It seems like the Square has a huge following for it to be overhauled asap!
It would be nice to see it restored to appear as it was when built; with the smaller smokeboxes, dustbin dome covers and electric lights!
I wonder what the outcome will be as the locomotive is apparently is a bad state...
