Hi,
I had to make some coupling links for some model railway rolling stock. These links needed to be of a fairly exact length to work so ordinary chain links could not be use.
First a link was bent up using pliers to get the correct size. This link was then used to set the centres on the jig. The rods in the jig are nails with their heads cut off. The 1.5 mm brass wire to make the links was first annealed before bending. Hopefully the photographs will explain the technique.
Regards Tony.
