I'm going to construct a couple of retro Vale of Rheidol carriages in the style of Archangel to go with my loco, as there is no hope of finding an original for sale, does anyone have any images of them close up? I'm guessing the sides were punched aluminium and I'm going to use etched nickel silver. What I really need to see is how they went together.
Any info would be welcome.

John,
I will try to get some photos of an Archangel coach owned by a friend. Here is what I can remember about the body...
The sides are of thick die cut aluminium, 16 SWG if memory serves. The ends (and presumably the floor) are made of substantial plywood 3/16" or a bit more at a guess. The sides are screwed to the ends with slotted round head lag screws.
I cannot speak to the running gear as this coach was modified to run on bogies rather than the original 4 wheel arrangement.
If I get pictures or revised construction information, I will post that for you.
Best regards,
Paul
