Somehow, I can't see there will be a need for something similar on the Peckforton Light Railway ;)

Maybe you could do a portable ski slope?
Or maybe a sauna? 8)

The Oasis pool went for a dry :D run today, just make sure it runs.
No water in the pools. Decals finished, but no swimmers for the pools yet.

That's looking very smart, Greg. I can't understand why a full scale equivalent wasn't developed on transcontinental routes in Aus. or the USA.

After many delays in the workshops, the Oasis Pool has finally gone into service.

The figures are el cheapo chinese - I meant to order unpainted ones but some got painted ones. My dremel tool stripped the clothes off and I painted with some flesh coloured paint. Then added the swimming costumes - it's 1950, so no bikinis!

I'd still like to add a couple of canvas deck chairs in the centre portion. And maybe a small palm tree?

PS. Deckchairs certainly, not too sure about the palms though.

When you look at it, it's one of those, "Well, why not?" vehicles - particularly on long distance train services in Oz or the US. Not sure it would catch on on the Caledonian Sleeper though....... :?

That is brilliant Greg looks great.
For the deck chairs how about ones with shades attached that can be pulled forward to cover the seat or folded back for sunbathing.
Something like this https://deckchairs.co.uk/products/chair ... hair/PCNW/
Removes the need for the palm tree shade or is the palm just for aesthetics to fit the oasis theme?

Thanks for the idea of the shaded deck chair. They do look the part.
The palm idea was more a dream than anything.

Nice pool Greg! Sensibly marshalled well away from the loco I notice, to protect sun worshippers from stray sparks... Go for it with the palm trees I reckon...

Andrew.

you have my approval :thumbleft: :thumbleft:

It's already pretty goofy so I say palm trees ;)

Edit: Oh I suppose I'm 2 years late.
