Hi,

I have recently finished putting an electric motor in a Chinese made tin plate model of a Metro car. The friction motor taken out of it has been on my bench for several days now; I have previously modified a toys friction motor to make a SloMo wagon. Looking at this example it looked as if it would be easy to modify and it is! Just pull the plastic wheels off and Binnie wheels are a good fit on the axles it even has mounting brackets! The model cost £7 including P&P direct from China.

The model as bought.

The other wheel and axle bracket could also be used.

That's very similar to the device I used in my Slomo wagon before installing the SSP Slomos:
