Hi Rebelego,rebelego:117153 wrote:Very nice conversion!
What is the size of the Newqida coach?
If it comes in a box it would be nice to know the size of the box as well.
Thanks.
sorry for the delay.
The coaches are approx 575mm long over the couplings/buffers (23 5/8"), 110mm wide (4 5/16") and 165mm tall (6 1/2").
The box measures 680 x 190 x 130 (26 3/4" x 7 1/4" x 5")
Hope this is of use.
Ian

Last week the rake was finished and each coach was reassembled. A close up of the livery scheme - Collett GWR 1934 with the simplier outlines and banding.
hey actually ran very well at both railways they were trialled on.
All four coaches differ; one is a Third, one is a First, one is a Bar/Third and one is the Guards/Luggage/Third Composite.
They were trialled on the Severn Valley Paddock Garden Railway, where they had run previously and the previous rake had been found to be out of order.
As seen, they complement the 'Rheidolised' Caradoc very well.

Thanks! The transfers were all commercial and the lining done with a ruler and lining pen.Peter Butler:118275 wrote:Beautifully detailed work on the coaches, they look the part, well done.
Thanks Merlin.merlin2:118279 wrote:Brilliant - they look superb - hard to believe what they started out as. A repaint of at least one of our two rakes is now definitely called for, but I will not be trying to emulate the artistry of yours.
My goal was to completely anglicise them as much as possible - I think this has been achieved with the German roof vents disbanded and replaced with GWR, followed by the European bar gates being superseded by proper gates - wooden frames sandwiching car repair mesh.
Repainting can be done quite easily; Halfords acrylics in the silver cans will be more than sufficient - primer, colours and lacquer. I have seen blood and custard renditions as well as my GWR take.
Thanks Grant. The painting was easy but also painstaking when it came to the masking. The lining was a trial - ensuring it was completely horizontal across he side of the bodies. I think I've got it good enough.LNR:118280 wrote:A very professional looking repaint down to the last detail, superb finish.
Grant.
Now to run them
