For general public use I wouldn't buy certificates with expirations greater than 2 years.
A lot of services consider a cert more than 2 years old to be untrusted.

On the site, they say with the multiyear subscription, the user needs to renew it every year presumably to overcome this issue

letsencrypt have been offering free certificates for several years now, I'm not sure if all hosting providers would support them though as I imagine selling SSL certificates is quite lucrative. There is a list of hosting companies that support lets encrypt on their community forum over here

I believe since September 2020 certificates can only be issued with a maximum expiry of 13 months or less anyway, see here.

I do think this SLL Certificate thing has gone on long enough, I am not buying one, my web host does not provide them for free - End!!

Instructions: Five pages of instruction, mainly via photographs, in the occasional place, the information could have been expanded for extra clarity, though a novice could build this model, I think some areas did introduce ambiguity into them.

Body: The ply though light was solid with well cut edges, all the parts (with the exception of the seats) were butt joints, and as advised here I used PVA and it seems to be a very solid build.

Engine cover: White metal, clean, a couple of very small "blow holes" only identified after primer, soldered together well, nice fit.

Axle mounts, luggage rack, "dashboard": 3D printed, clean and square, the axle bushes needed a little super-glue to hold in place.

Issues: There was no 45 mm gauge conversion kit, and IP Engineering weren't the easiest company to get hold of, but agreed to sent the items in the post, however they only post once a week, and I had just missed that weeks post, so from identifying the issue to receipt of parts was 10 days, however not being in a rush this was not an issue for me.

Overall I am quite please, currently at the painting and motorizing stages, the main build now finished.

Progress has moved on with painting and details starting to be added, hopefully further details will be available on my blog latter this week:

Love the blood and custard colour scheme, Jim. The roof rack looks very intimate. Was that part of the kit or your own addition.

Hi many thanks, the orange beacon, well it came with the lights kit, managed to get a flashing LED, liked it so used it, as it my railway

And that's all the justification it needs! (That's rule #8 on the GWLR)

I asked IP engineering about the motor and he said the nominal voltage of the supplied motor is 4.8 volts. I run mine on 4 AA cells with a deltang receiver. No problems

The Railbus is nearing completion, decals and lacquer coat applied, and final finishing items fitted, to get more details these can be viewed on my blog:

The final stage is the electronics, Rx, ESC and MLS, these are to fitted under the body attached by Velcro, however just awaiting the last components:





I will post the electronics when fitted.

I do like the detailing and paint finish on that, very nice!
