16mm Scale Hunslet Blanche

Post by angr607 » Sun Oct 06, 2019 5:38 pm

After a long time and lots of pestering of that lovely Mr Farley into doing it, I've finally got a Blanche for my garden railway! In time, a Linda or Talisein will follow but that's not for definite yet. It was interesting to build someone else's kit for a change compared to my own. A few things I had to check with Peter as I went but otherwise it went together well. It's missing its roof and RC gear (on order with HGLW) then I can get it operational. Nameplates are already here by Narrow Planet so they'll be fitted when the time is right. Painting will probably be done by PDF Models themselves as I can't paint models to save my life. But that's for another time once I can afford it.

Couplings now fitted. Also the first PDF Models engine I've ever seen personally with Chopper Couplings!

The main reason why I brought it. A fleet of 15 FR Coaches that needed something for them to run with!

Great looking model you are making a nice job of it. Does it have plenty of weight for adhesion?

Hi,

Thanks! It has plenty of weight so should be able to pull a reasonable sized train. I'm going to try it once I've got the RC equipment.
