Actually, I have converted a smaller loco - an IP Engineering plate frame Simplex. Even squeezed two soundcards and a speaker in as well.

That is some wiring in there and you're correct about getting lots of satisfaction from completing something Steve. Even more so for me if it works...

Love that Diesel also, really very smart. :thumbright: :thumbright:

Forgot to mention the video....Absolutely brilliant, I love your line very much and your skilfulness in taking a video with a mobile phone whilst still operating the loco. I have seen a lot of videos were they seem to be all over the place.....

I can't pretend to even begin to understand the electrics, but the finished product looks and sounds fantastic, and it runs beautifully too - well done!

All the best,

Andrew.

I agree great loco and well modified. Electrics scares me too. A black art as far as I am concerned. I can change a plug and a light bulb and that's my limit.

Black Art so far as I am concerned too. Wiring up the motor or a couple of motors is about as far as I can get, and even then it is a bit 'iffy.' I'm b*ggered as soon as it involves a wiring diagram,

Traffic Pattern? What pattern? Spuds out; grain in, but cattle, sheep and passengers are a lot less predictable.

Thank you for all your very kind comments, very nice.

The electrics can be scary at first but with the help of people on here and the odd blog site and video, you can usually muddle your way through most things.

As for the video, I did struggle to change points as well as take the video and control the loco all at the same time, lol :D
