I also blogged about it here - https://riksrailway.blogspot.co.uk/2015 ... -with.html

Looks more complicated than it needs to be. No need to use a Prog4, much easier to use a Tx20 or even a Tx22 for the programming. Looks like I might need to make another video and or blog post about it.

Ok Rik - I've watched the video and read the blog and ................... #excited_about_the_possibilities

Interested how I do shuttle and station stops without needing prog4 - just using my Tx20

However, no rush............ as i still have to resolve my chair bashing flanges yet

A quick update - now managed to sort the flanges and gauge issues - pics of a quick proving run up and down the line this weekend - sits nicely on the The Tesco Online Construction Express chassis - just need to sort some steps in for passengers like Jim's

That does look good.

I actually managed to get into the shed and do an hour on mine today, the first bit of 16mm modelling I have managed since Christmas. A huge workload, plus a dose of ill health managed to preclude anything for the past month or so.

A little progress has been made. Skirts and doors now complete and fitted in place.

Yes - I'll keep an eye out as the motor bogie could be used on other projects - add in the tipper wagon and crane outline and a few meters of display track and its a bargain at £15-£20!

Jim - loving the grey primer - its always the exciting part of a project when you get to this stage and everything comes together

I clicked your Tesco link to see the origin and I do vaguely remember seeing them in Tesco at the end of last year. However the link you provided has a notice that says "We no longer sell this product" so it must have been a limited Christmas offering.
eBay have them Phillip for about £18.50 with free postage also on Amazon. :thumbright:

Really loving your “RailBus” Jim, it’s looking more like the one’s that used to run on the Fylde. :thumbright: :thumbright:

A quick test coat of paint was applied to the Railbus this evening. I normally use flat colours but I had picked up a handful of jars of gloss by mistake. I thought I would use these to see what the colour looks like.

I think the beading will be picked out in cream. However, I am not sure that the perhaps a cream top half might not suit it as well.

White seems to go quite well with blue - see dougrail's coaches

Interesting, if I went for the cream uppers any suggestion as to what colour the trim might be?
I was wondering about a set of gold go faster stripes.

White is a bit boring, cream generally looks better........ When first introduced, our Walker railmotors were royal blue and silver, which looked very smart when clean. See link. Silver paint weathered quickly back then and I always add some white to cut back the shine when painting a model silver.

For the waist lining on your model, I think I'd paint both raised bead lines the same colour used on the uppers and fill in between them with black, which will give more definition to the colour separation.

Regards,
Graeme

I would go for Cream has well Jim, with black lining. It would stand out more and look a lot better than white I think anyway.

Cream upper panels as per the GNR(I) - that well known railcar pioneer - would be yummy.

Traffic Pattern? What pattern? Spuds out; grain in, but cattle, sheep and passengers are a lot less predictable.

I'm tempted to have a go at a raibus after perusing your thread and following the construction. It's turned out well.

Blue and cream it is then.

I suppose it really should be green with black lining as per the other PMR passenger stock, but I think the blue looks better.
