Electric motor advice

Post by ikcdab » Tue Sep 05, 2017 11:07 pm

I am looking to build a powerful battery powered diesel outline loco.
What advice is there for a suitable motor. Prob 6v but strong and powerful.
I recently built up.a roundhouse criccieth castle chassis kit and the motor supplied with that is perfect. Buhler? But I don't know which model.
Any advice?
Thanks

Have a look at the expo tools website. They have a range of motors with attached elliptical gearboxes. Not cheap but good.
MFA Como drill motors are another possibility. Again have a look at their website.
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
