I do have a subscription to Garden Rail but only because I prefer a digital version, no piles of magazines lying around to upset certain people! Here in West Norfolk (UK) suprisingly my local corner newsagent has it on his shelf and certainly it's available in W.H.Smith.

I can't find Garden Rail on any local bookshelves, is it subscription only?
I get mine on subscription and online also. You can pay just once to get a copy online or do has I did and get it for 12 months. Though I haven't got this months yet, it is usually a day later.

I get my online issue from Pocketmags, there are others.

I will send you my copy of the magazine Peter when I have finished with it if you like.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have tried several potential outlets locally including Morrisons and W.H.Smiths with no luck but I will try again. If I still fail in my quest perhaps Rod will be kind enough to pass on his well thumbed copy in exchange for something?
Thanks for the offer Rod.

I dropped my subscription a little while ago now when the editor changed. How ever some time prior to that it became more difficult to buy. W.H.Smith had reduced their title count quite dramatically as a matter of policy and GR was one the casualties at that time. However it has appeared again on the shelves locally of both Martins and W.H.Smith, probably Warners influence.

The other method is to talk to the local newsagent, there is a scheme whereby you can order and they will get it for you on a monthly basis. When we lived in North Wales our little local shop was able to get even difficult to obtain overseas mags that way. Might be worth a chat.

Perhaps it is a sign of the times however. I subscribe to Autralian Model Engineer for one and they no longer distribute at all via newsagents even in Oz, it is all subscription now. All due to increasing costs.

Peter forget about all the information about getting it from W.H. Smiths and other places.

I will send you my copy and you will see how to subscribe in there. You can get a discount for subscribing and you can get a free gift....You might want to share....

I will send it to you at the end of the week Peter.

Double the pleasure today when both Rod's Garden Rail and SMT arrived in the same post...... I must resist settling down as the weather is fine and I have many projects to attend to. Some evening reading is assured.
Thanks Rod, your'e a pal!
