I have an original Roger Marsh Ogwen, that runs and steams quite well so long as the weather isn't too windy. The loco has had some alterations made during it's life such as moving the lubricator into the cab, but I feel that for me really it would benefit from radio control.
My question is, has anybody else done a R/C conversion on an Ogwen and how did you do it?
thanks in advance
Simon.
Ogwen - Radio Control?
Re: Ogwen - Radio Control?
I have not done one, but it looks to be quite simple to control the rotary valve with a servo..
A second servo could perhaps be used on the gas supply?

Thankyou for your reply.
I was thinking along the same lines. The issue with Ogwen is the lack of space due to it's small size, but I may be able to fit a servo inverted on the footplate with the arm underneath operating the rotary valve. Time to do some careful measuring.
