A model steam tram in the garden

Post by Tony Bird » Wed Aug 17, 2022 9:29 am

Hi,

With the weather cooling and a model railway exhibition to attend this weekend a model steam tram was tested on the garden railway.

Take care Tony.

That's a nice little engine. Did you build it? What's under the bonnet?

Hi Keith

It is a Roundhouse Bertie which I fitted a Swift Sixteen tram body kit to.

Take care Tony.

Aha. I knew it wasn't a geared oscillator when I saw you reverse it by giving it a shove in the other direction. I did think it looked a bit like a Swift sixteen body.

It looks very nice, but I still think the "Ellie" tram you just finished is my favourite.

That certainly puts me in mind of the Portstewart tramway - very nice!
