I've never seen an engine quite like that, fascinating little machine. Beautiful work as always, Tony. :salute:

Hi Aaron,

I've never seen an engine quite like that, fascinating little machine.

Ransomes and Rapier made a few locomotives both steam and later diesel, a lot of the steam ones being a little different. They also made a lot of heavy plant including self propelled steam cranes, their locomotive for an Indian coal mine seems to be basically a self propelled crane without the crane. The mine also had another locomotive from another crane manufacturer which was very similar. Their gauge was 18" so the model should be 7/8ths scale but would be too large for my railway so it is being built to 16 mm.

Take care Tony.
