5" gauge
5" gauge
In order not to spoil/hijack the "oily bits" thread, I start a new one.
Some of my 5" locos:
Currently in the workshop:
LBSC Titfield Thunderbolt, bought as a wreck:
Super Claud and Prussian P3.1:
Battery electric East German V200 aka Taigatrommel
24V 6 axle-hung motors:
Pics of the others to follow:
German PtL 2/2, Reichsbahn class 55 0-8-0, LBSC Minx,....
Who else is out there playing with big trains (3.5", 5", 7.25")?

Re: 5" gauge
I am fairly new to 5" gauge and bought an unfinished 0-6-0 'Metre Maid' but sticking to my NG roots I am converting it to look more like a 'Wren' type.
Check out the link in my signature for videos of the loco or this thread:

Re: 5" gauge
My father has a 3 1/2" Penrhyn Charles and L&B Yeo, but I have been working on some 1:5th scale rolling stock; 3 slate wagons and FR Sentry brake van. Slate trucks are nearing completion so I'll be making a proper start on the Sentry van soon.
Looking for to seeing more of your fleet!
Cheers

Re: 5" gauge
That’s a nice looking collection. I started a 5” gauge sweet pea years ago when I was attending a weekly class at a model engineering club. Unfortunately I moved out of the area so stopped, but still have the frames kicking about. I’ve recently started getting involved with a club fairly local to me and am trying to convince myself to commit to building something 7 1/4”....
Re: 5" gauge
7 1/4" here:
I have been meaning to start a thread on my line, but struggle with linking up images from flickr on here (need to get on the laptop instead of 'phone app...)

Re: 5" gauge
I have seen your Wren on YouTube before and your new railway is coming along!
Re: 5" gauge
Thanks, but I don't want to steal Scrat's thread (must really get one of my own sorted)....
Any more pictures / details Scrat?
That prussian loco looks lovely

I could watch these large scale trains in action all day.
