W&L Earl

Post by artfull dodger » Sat Sep 28, 2019 9:50 pm

Got an offer from a stateside collector for my Titley Court that was too good to pass up. I then did some swapping with a local friend and ended up with this nice old Pearse W&L The Earl in lined black, Saturn 2.4 RC with whistle. She runs well, but is due for some new side rods or someone to bush them for me as they are a bit worn. I did refresh all the valve motion and main rods with new parts from Simon at ANG but he was out of the side rods. I used some of the funds from selling the gauge one locomotive to go on a shopping spree in Accucraft USA's E store. Got both numbers of the brake composite coaches in brown/cream, a brake van, sheep car, flat car and a box van wagon. I am planning to upgraade the TX/RX in the Earl to RCS from Aussie land to be rid of the old school stick transmitter. Anyhow, here is The Earl, sitting on my mantle. Mike
