Millie Tender

Post by PeterG » Tue Mar 13, 2018 5:26 pm

I'm very new to steam loco's and garden railway matters. I have a new Millie loco. Its manual at the moment with no cab either.
I would like to see her pulling a Tender although RH do not make one.
Are there any suggestions for a suitable type Tender and supplier?

RH of course supply Cab kit and R/c parts with servo I believe?

Thanks
PeteG

Roundhouse still sell their 4 wheel tender in RTR form, not particularly cheap though. You'll find it on their price list and at the bottom of the 'Parts' page on their website.

They also have a bogie tender which would be a bit big for a Millie, unless you are modelling a desert railway........

Graeme

Thanks Graeme, I see them both now.
RH dont show the Tenders on their website, how do you get to find out size information?

They are listed under the relevant locomotive kits, but no sizes are (or were) provided.

Fowler tender HBK9 ( http://www.roundhouse-eng.com/pdf/kitin ... s/hbk9.pdf ). Mine measures Length over rear buffer 200mm, Width 100mm & Height (to top of lamp bracket) 104mm.

George tender HBK7 ( http://www.roundhouse-eng.com/pdf/kitin ... s/hbk7.pdf ). I've not started my kit yet, Width 113mm, Length over rear buffer approx. 173mm (Height unknown).
