Morgan locomotive company no. 1 overhauled

Post by JMORG » Sun Sep 10, 2017 10:30 am

As the Lydney model rail show is fast approaching, the very first Morgan locomotive was overhauled and tidied up ready.
Pictures of the locomotive in the 90s and early 2000s are shown below:

The tram uses an ancient Millie chassis. As many users of old Millies are aware, they often had (sometimes quite serious) priming and quartering issues. With new components from Roundhouse, the majority of the motion was replaced with new.
The tram was also tidied up and detailed with parts from Swift Sixteen. The roof was repainted and the firebox blacked out. The old green paint was in relatively good order so it was left alone.

Very nice, if you hadn't mentioned the pva I would have assumed it was the deposit of a 16mm seagull. :D
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
