Professional kit building

Post by berkshire757 » Fri Jun 25, 2021 12:22 pm

Hello - do any forum members know of anyone who builds battery loco kits professionally to order? I am thinking particularly of the IP Engineering Lister locos. While I have built a few wagon kit models over the years I am not a very proficient kit builder and to be frank I do not particularly enjoy building kits and most of the time do not have the patience. I would hate to fork out the money for a nice metal kit of such a loco as a Lister or a Ruston and then muck it up. I will much appreciate any help or info forum members can offer. Thank you. :)

I can testify to the quality of Peter's kitbuilding capabilities. You only have to look at the undoubted competence of his building of models he has produced on his thread to see what he is capable of.

Thank you Peter and Rik - Peter, I have attempted to send you a PM in reply, but at the moment it seems to be in "outbox" rather than "sent messages" so I am unsure whether it has transmitted to you? Could you please let me know if you have received it? Many thanks

That is a quirk of the system I'm afraid, it fooled me for a long time as well!
Once 'sent' a PM sits in your Outbox until the recipient opens it and only at that point does it move to your Sent box. It is confusing to begin with but is actually quite useful in that you know if/when it has been read.
