FR double Fairlie Livingston Thompson

Post by JMORG » Wed Sep 30, 2020 11:16 am

Hi guys,
I'm looking at making a model of Livingston Thompson as is currently in the NRM. Can anyone confirm if the locomotive is painted in FR Victorian maroon or the newer, lighter shade seen on Merddin Emery's? Some pictures of its visit to the FR in the last decade seem to show it's a different shade...
Cheers p

Ah that's very helpful thank you, I need to make the bunkers still!
Looks like it may be closer to Victorian maroon than the "Fairlie maroon".
