Accucraft wagon axle diameter

Post by Andrew » Wed Mar 11, 2020 2:01 pm

Hi all,

Would anyone happen to know, or be able to measure, the diameter of Accucraft wagon axles? If I can get hold of some I'm I'm thinking of using some of their "Z7" axleboxes in a future scratchbuild, but need to know if I could use them with Binnie or Cambrian curly spoked wheels.

Many thanks,

Andrew.

3mm axle will work for those axle boxes.

Excellent! Thanks Tom!

Now to see if Kent Garden Rail have ACTUALLY got some L&B axleboxes in stock - unlike most suppliers, their website says they do, but - like loo rolls - there seems to be something of a national shortage...

This project won't see the light of day for months, but I'm trying to work out exactly what I need to order from Peter Binnie for all the projects I've got in the pipeline. It's tragic, but I've actually made a spreadsheet...

Cheers,
Andrew
