Gentleman
Gentleman
I am justing posting this to say a big THANK YOU to ge-rik.
You really are a gentleman for all you do for us like me who have very little knowledge on such things, especially on the subject of electronics. I will certainly be taking your advice on the Rx’s you have given me.
To other members, please don’t feel that members won’t help you because I can assure you that most will go out of there way and give their time to help you in any way you need help.
Thanks again Rik, hopefully we can meet some day.

Re: Gentleman
Aw gee, Rod. That's very kind of you.
I'm sure any other forumite would be just as responsive if you PMed them on any other topic. This forum's membership is particularly supportive of each other - and includes a good range of expertise. It's a great place to hang out.

Re: Gentleman
I can certainly second your sentiment Rod. I have had the pleasure of meeting Rik and he is all you say. Rik kindly filmed, edited and posted the video on youtube of my Emetts running on my railway, something I could never undertake myself.
Thanks to members like Rik, and others here on the Forum, I feel I am amongst friends.

Re: Gentleman
I think I said this when we had to change the hosting.
We have the largest resource of garden railway information anywhere and a good and friendly membership who are happy to assist others and share their own experiences.
Keep up the good work folks and please publicise this forum as much as possible.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
Re: Gentleman
On a slightly different tack, I believe the fact that the forum is about Garden Railways and not about keeping up with the latest in computer fads, allows forum members to concentrate on what it's all about. That I think is down to the job the forum managers are doing, so a pat on the back to Tom and Jim.

Re: Gentleman ( bazzer42 )
On the point of Gentleman, I was also given a lot of information by bazzer42 on Facebook before I even had anything on the 16mm side of things. His warm friendly advice pretty much convinced me to start my adventure in 16mm and I am so glad I have, even though you have cost me a lot of money Derek
