wagon weight

Post by philipy » Tue Feb 13, 2018 12:33 pm

I know this has been touched on before, but is there actually a 'recommended' wagon/vehicle weight, or possibly weight per axle?
I know it depends on the rolling resistance and various other bits and pieces, but back in my 4mm days we used to work on "an ounce per axle", is there any similar rule of thumb for SM32?

I have never come across a recommendation. I would have thought that about 8oz per axle total weight would give a good starting point..
Outside you have the problem with wind that you don't have indoors. I would be tempted to put more weight into a high sided vehicle than a flat one.
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
