Newbie to the world of 16mm.

Does anybody know if the Pearce Lew is re-gaugeable?

If it can be re-gauged, how would i go about this? Is it easy to do as the loco has not been produced for years?

Many thanks

Andy

The main driving wheels slide on the axles when you have slackened off the grub screws in the boss on the rear of the wheel. The axles are dimpled so no worries about getting the correct back to back measurement. As new the locos were supplied with pony truck wheel sets for both 32mm and 45mm track. They were changed by unscrewing the keeper plates, lifting out the one wheel set and replacing with the ones required. Then replacing the keeper plates in the correct position coresponding to the wheel set fitted. The keeper plates just touched the back of the wheel to stop side to side movement.

Hope this helps.
