Hello,
Eight years ago I was traveling in New Zealand and also rode trains there. Now back in Germany wher Ilive. I decided to build that locomotive. Last week I looked in my tinkering box, I found a chassis of an LGB Alco, which I wanted to convert into a snow plow years ago, but now I want to turn it into a New Zealand DFB Class
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...DF_cla ... ive_(1979) .
My question now is, does anyone have a plan of the locomotive or an idea where I can find one, otherwise I'll have to rebuild it from photos, which would only be half as true to the original.
Thanks
Nikolaus

Try the New Zealand Railway and Locomotive Society.
I think a lot of NZR 3' 6" guage modelling is done in S gauge.
I used to live there and I remember the Da , Dc, and Dx classes but I had left the country before the Df's were introduced.
In the 1950's they had another class of loco classified as Df , built by English Electric but that was a very different machine!
