Roundhouse Garratt

Post by JMORG » Sat Apr 25, 2015 8:56 am

Who's ordered one of these beasties then? We've been told that you have to wait until THIRD batch to get one (Jan next year)! Surely one of Roundhouses best sellers and if you think about it its quite good value for money (Considering its the same price as an Accucraft NGG16 was in 2007)!

First batch (August 15) sold within a few days (not even that, I had an order the day it was released), second batch (Sep 15) a few days later, third (Oct/Nov 15) I didn't even get one in it sold that quickly (yours is in the fourth see Jason) and the fourth (Jan 16) is now starting to fill VERY quickly. :) Very good choice by Roundhouse it seems...

Dan, I took your last one in the second batch. I understand I would have missed out on that if I'd taken five minutes longer to make up my mind ! I was amazed how quickly a loco at that price has sold. As you say it seems Roundhouse has a winner there. Obviously not everybody wants cheap basic locos !

I think only Roundhouse know and it varies greatly between loco's but if it helps one of ours in the fourth batch is number 18, and that was ordered pretty early on :)

Anyone know how close to scale this engine is? It seems quite a bit bigger than the Peter Angus D class...
