Fieldings Auctioneers

Post by Mark.H » Wed Jul 14, 2021 5:16 pm

Hello to all

On Thursday the 22nd of July Fieldings Auctioneers will be offering for sale by auction various Live steam models and railway from various deceased estates as part of their three day sale. The lots of interest range from 1208 to 1320 and can be viewed in person by appointment on Monday 26th and 27th with all bidding available on the Easy Live and Saleroom platforms.

It is unusual for to have such a large amount of steam in this yearly specialist Mantiques sale.

Please do have a look at the website www.fieldingsauctioneers.co.uk

Thank you for your interest

Nothing much there to interest the garden railway hobbyist from what I can see. Am I looking in the right place, I set the filter to railways. And what on earth is a "mantique" ? Max

I just keep on getting the same page whenever I open the site. I did put the first lot in ( 1208 ) so I expected to be able to view more, but it just kept going to the lot number......

Think this may be an error looking at the auction date, or the auction date is incorrect.

Intrigued by Max's comment, I've just waded hrough the entire catalogue! ( Yeah, sad I know, but hey I'm on hols!).
Max is right, there is very little here to interest a garden railway modeller. There are a lot of pictures missing which doesn't help although there are mouse-over descriptions. The only things I found that were of even passing interest were several lots of 5" stuff, mostly part built chassis as far as I could see, and some Gauge 1 live steam, but they had no piccys.

Quite a bit of 00 and some O gauge, again with no pictures, lots of toys and road vehicles but in big bundles which are not likely to be of interest to anyone but toy collectors.

All just my opinion of course. :D

Good morning to all who are interested

My error the viewing dates by appointment are Monday the 19th and the 20th of July, 10am to 4pm

The sale dates are the 21st to the 23rd (Three day sale) but the Live steam is 1208 to 1320 (on the 22nd), some pictures are already up with more coming shortly!

Apologies for any confusion

Thank you
