Hi all,

Some more updates from the PFLR!

So the Newqidas coach arrived today, and I must say I am rather impressed. I thought the livery finish was going to be typical moulded plastic but it isn't actually that bad, and as a result I don't think it is going to be resprayed. It also has some nice weight & length notice decals and some no smoking decals which look quite nice, and if it were resprayed I would lose these. It may look odd against the other coach but then again, I could respray that into green......

Apologies for the fuzzy image

The renovation of coach No.7 is also progressing, the interior is half finished, with handrails, a brake and roof access steps also being added as you can see below. Stepsboards and the other half of the interior are to follow as well as a new roof and interior lighting.

More soon!

This evening I tried something different for a change - I had an hour spare just before dusk, Bertie was already half filled from a short customer demo steaming so I decided to do some evening running, which I thoroughly enjoyed - watching the loco run light engine up through the undergrowth looked wonderful! :) I then added a couple of flat wagons and the guards van for a short freight.

After it began to get too dark to see the engine, I decided run with candles! As the loco began to run down I thought I'd get a sneaky picture...

The candle shot reminds me of the pics. you see of crucible wagons in a steel making plant.
