New siding and fencing at Bickerton

Post by ge_rik » Sun Jun 27, 2021 7:47 pm

After much deliberation, I figured out how I could add another siding to Bickerton Station - by adding a plank to the front! The new siding needs to be ballasted, but I'm pleased with the way the foamboard retaining wall and 3D printed platform fencing has worked out.

That looks very good so far.

I recognise that fencing!!!

Did you have any problem with printing it? Is it PLA or ABS?

Not on my better printer but the cheapo printer has started playing-up.
I'm still using up my stocks of PLA - not tried the PETG I got yet

That looks very good Rik. I'm just pondering adding fencing to a station on my line, but I'll be doing mine the old fashioned way - plasticard and foamboard :D

Looking great. I specially like the extension of the fence post into the brickwork.
Obviously the Bickerton staff have plenty of time to paint all that fence! :D

Where do you keep finding all this space for extensions? Nice work. :thumbleft:

Very nice Rik!

Is this for general goods, or do you have a particular traffic in mind for the new siding?
