Re: Roundhouse Lady Anne Regner whistle fitting
Here is the final install for now:
My workshop isn't always this messy, honest!
Next job is to fit a new onboard battery and switch harness and then once the owner repaints the boiler cover she can be put back together and go home

Nice work, Tom. Your friend will be very pleased with his improved Lady Anne.

Just as a point of interest, did wrapping the steam pipe in string (?) make any noticeable difference to any condensate issues?

That sounds far better than most Tom. Brilliant job.

Re: Roundhouse Lady Anne Regner whistle fitting
I believe it does as I have lagged the pipes on my coal fired loco and it helped with condensate. You need to use thick string though so although it doesn't look scale it is functional...

Re: Roundhouse Lady Anne Regner whistle fitting
It's an early Mk3 Lady Anne so has been well used but seems to run alright although I think the timing is out a bit but reluctant to take the cylinders apart as I reckon the seals would need replacing (I would do it if it was my loco though). They do leak a bit but the leaks provide a nice exhaust steam from the cylinders and it isn't down on power.
Once she is all back together I can give it a run on my line.

Added the new battery, switch harness and charge socket today:
She should be going home tomorrow so I might be able to start work on my own projects

Re: Roundhouse Lady Anne Regner whistle fitting
She passed inspection by the owner today after a run around the RWLR so the workshop is ready for new work:
The newly painted boiler wrapper getting it's first outing (the two tone colour scheme may not be everyone's taste I suspect but I like it).
