After a visitor from up the line visited us last year and enjoyed a day of steaming on the PSLR . We were both instantly in love with one of his locomotives.
So thoughts gathered on the purchase of said loco however the ready to run version was indeed a fair few pennies.
So since we had a Round house chassis here that was going to get a body fitted at some point plans were changed and our own version was put on the drawing board
So the Carn Brea Castle is born :D
A fivers worth of plasti card and a first for me actually building with this stuff :D

Still needs the roof and cabin details finished, but the RC and sound system is fitted and real glass is fitted to the Windows now, I will post more pics soon.

If that is your first attempt using plasticard it is certainly most successful and a credit to you.
A most impressive build and nicely painted too.... very nice!

A lovely job, and for a first attempt, simply brilliant. Don't forget that we are all holding our breathe now waiting for the video!

Excellent work. Something to be proud of. The only slight drawback to plasticard for me is the lack of weight, but that's easily added.
