LOL - another riveting episode on the Garden Railway Forum!
7/8th tipper builds
Re: 7/8th tipper builds
Where did I put that uncoupler?
Re: 7/8th tipper builds
Apologies for poor Joe, I took him to casualty and a few eyebrows were raised when I told them he fell and the brass rod accidentally inserted itself into his bottom. Could happen to anyone.
What to do with the third kit.?
Re: 7/8th tipper builds
Give it to me please Seriously though Derek, love your work, that is another brilliant job.

Number 24 is underway and decided to add a sliver of balsa square between the top and bottom chassis to create a girder look. Some dings in the wood with my heavy handed razor sawing but nothing a blob of wood glue and iron filings won't sort.

Re: 7/8th tipper builds
These are going to make up a fine looking train when all together.
Grant.
Grant.
Re: 7/8th tipper builds
Thanks for the idea Grant, a nice little train needs a brake van! A styrene box so far with a car seat from a modelearth casting bought last year for no other reason than it looked good. Lots of rivets still to do and a decision on colour.
Re: 7/8th tipper builds

Re: 7/8th tipper builds
Bit further on the last kit. Brake stand came from a cone designed for holding roll ups or special spliffs judging by the leaf design on the lid. Perhaps a roof ??

Re: 7/8th tipper builds
Getting close to it but still ineed to add some colour to that "guard". Wouldn't be right not have a gratuitous Diana Dors poster. Some body securing rivets on the base required.
Re: 7/8th tipper builds
Thats brilliant Derek, love it.

Imagine Diana Does in her prime in today's entertainment industry, things would be very different!
She would of stopped all the garbage winning on the X-Factor.
