I can only agree with the others, this is a really impressive building. You are capturing the characteristics very nicely.

Not a huge amount of progress since the last time, spent a bit of time building the steps. These were foamboard in the main, the spindles were brass rods that I inserted through holes drilled vertically and then tops were rounded off using milliput.

The brickwork has been dremelled out and a base undercoat added. You'll notice some humbrol liquid masking, this is an attempt at keeping some joints clean for when the windows and roof are glued in to ensure the foamboard welds together. Realised all the interior needs to be painted though before the windows put in place!

The wooden BBQ skewer signal levers had a little bit of detailing added at the top, just a bit of spare brass rod glued into place.

Looking really good. Like you, I enjoy finding cheap but effective solutions to detailing.

I agree with Rik on both points.

Brickwork done (needs weathering), the interior has been fixed in place, the windows glazed and fitted.

Next steps: start detailing the top sides and begin work on the roof

It's looking very good indeed. It's full of character. The roof is really going to put the icing on the cake. Well done!

Not much movement in the last few weeks, but started on the roof and the roof detailing (also fitted a couple of lights to the interior)

Oh and after a great deal of searching managed to find some plastic letters of just the right size to allow me to add the name boards at each end just how I wanted them. :D

Good to see this project again... even slow progress is a step in the right direction.

As a past master at slow progress I can throw my entire weight behind Peters comments!

It's a nice piece of work and looks very close to completion now. Well done.
