I like that a lot. I don't recognise the power unit though...

Aha... so you are on 45mm... I've stayed on the darkside with 32mm. Its a very nice build though.

"What not built of timber, Jim", only joking!
looking good, interesting build, plenty of weathering scope there.

Nice work Jim.... looks like a make-it-up-as-you-go kind of job, just the way I work! You make it look as though you are comfortable with plastic card too.
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?

getting a lot lot better with plasticard now its fun stuff to work with and reasonably cheap too so doesn't matter to much if you make a mistake the right glue helps (I use ema plastic weld I think) .it is very much make it up /google a few pics look in a few books for idea's etc

Liking it Jim.
I'm enjoying my 7/8th adventure as you have to build everything. I think I'm a builder more than a runner but everything starts to look right on 45mm track.
I have to agree that there is something about a tatty small scale operation.

its a good fun scale to work with and like you say you have to build everything.im starting off with this locomotive and if this goes to plan I will change my line to 7/8ths .this will mean changing everything on my railway a few of the buildings could be modified or changed .the only down side is finding decent vehicle's but if found a company called kamteck that make rc car body's that people use for rc banger racing.these are manly old cars and would just need spraying and a set of wheels added .

PS Jim if you need rivets I use nail art decorations. They are dirt cheap on ebay and stick well with solvent.

Looks good, well done.
Just shows plastic can be abused to look like banged up metal.

Certainly looks well used, and typical of the state many would be in. Did you make patterns, do you intend making some more to build up a train?
Grant.

That tipper body looks nice. I thought plasticard would be too tricky and spent precious money on some lgb spares
I should have given it a go.
