Sadly by the time the grapes sweeten enough, the mice and birds have usually got the majority - you never know though!

At least you get grapes! I've got a bumper crop this year, 3 whole 'bunches' with at least half a dozen 'grapes on each, and some have even grown as big as peas.

I have 4 fruit trees and for the past 3 years i have had nothing of all of them, they did flower so you would expect them to fruit, i do have some very small apples on a tree, but the other’s pear/cherry and plum nothing.

Love your line Mark, it’s great and Anne loves the sausage train....

The birds are eating that much, I could run a train each day!

Great excuse to run a train each day and it has a meaniful purpose.

Absolutely brilliant! I love to see a railway that really does something - and such a worthwhile cause too.

I'm afraid if I were to try and keep up with the greedy ganets that feed in our garden (front and back) I'd need something akin to the six track railway that makes up the last 8 miles of the Midland route into London!

Our local feathered friends don't seem to have any appetite at all yet. The son and heir filled a peanut feeder before we went of on our travels and it is still full, even the squirrels seem to be giving the grounds a wide berth at the moment.
Bats on the other hand are all over the place.

I think we must have your birds here Jim.... my wife feeds them well and they tell all of their friends where the best restaurant around is sited....
We do have an amazing selection of birds visit us from tiny Wren to huge birds of prey. Diane regularly looks up new varieties which appear, some of which I have never heard of.
We do get bats too, but not near the house, except for the one which flew into the kitchen!

Unfortunately not :| , we had some friends round, then went out for tea. :) Will be hoping today to lay some wooden stepping blocks.
