After around 18 months watching and slowly building both a railway and now a supporting website, I've reached the point where I felt I could go public.
You guys do set such a great example of others to follow so bear with me
The website is far from finished - for example the news page is up to about the middle of this summer, with more articles to come - likewise the wagon page is only about 25% complete.
The big gap is that I know the website needs a map of the site so everyone can gain an appreciation where everything sits.
I will make this my next priority.
Going forward, I'll update website and post here so everyone can see how things progress
Just read the blog, might need some nice washable regauged plastic lgb to deliver burgers and sausages. Nice line and I like the common livery to the locos.[/b]
That or some tin foil lined wagons

Thanks for the suggestion for the BBQ'd food - I hadn't given the hygeine angle a thought - yes some re-guaged LGB could work - or some tin foil lining the scrap wagon
Happily Gin and Beer train doesn't need the same level of safety:-
And a short video of the beer train
A busy day on the line

Kindling trains galore and of course Tourist trans to fit in
Loco No.2 Jessie eases the mid afternoon tourist train into Junction station. The good weather has brought out the walkers - (note the stare'y passenger in the coach - I've used G scale people as 1:19 looked squashed in - soon be lighting the coach up as well as the station.
The timber trains were also looked after by Jessie as well - wagon 10, the small log wagon, paired with the monster log bogied no.12 wagon - here's a bit of video featuring them.
Another busy day at the CHLR

Is the wooden top in the last pic. working out whether that load is safe, and where his jurisdiction starts and ends?

Yes, the boys were busy yesterday and their usual neatness of stacking went out of the window (or is that gauge?) - just glad that Mr Bond's Inspector was other wise engaged yesterday or I might have received a 'memo'.
PC Peter Lod likes to visit the railway, he is the village bobby so has more than a passing interest at goings on at the CHLR - I think you are right, with no dedicated British Transport Police presence, perhaps he's considering a bit of moonlighting with a second job.

This weekend, before the big winds, the railway management managed to run some bird for relief trains up the line to the bird feeder - here we see number 3 (now proudly showing its 'Kenny' name plates) easing over the bridge out onto the phase 2 section of track.
Work continues

It was a busy weekend on the CHLR - below is a link to the latest report
It was also a great days for moody photos - I have no steam yet so have to rely on the weather - here is a standard view of No.2 Jessie passing over the bridge with a works 'gardening wire' train
And by just ducking down a little and getting the foggy light to over expose elements of the pic, I got a great silhouette(ish) image

More progress on the line - it has now reached Birds Nest Halt and the works train was busy this weekend delivering materials for the build of the platform and eventually the shelter - here we see No.3 Kenny on Brewery Curve on its way to the site
Here we have arrived and the groundworks can be seen on the left of the loco - pre painting (which also was used to cover up the latest bird 'poo') - as its under the Bird feeding area, this will be a perennial problem although we only feed during the winter so I expect the white stuff to reduce to a minimum during the summer months!

A fascinating little line you've got here. Looking forward to see more progress. Loving the little station lights too.

Great news - we've reached the end of the line - yesterday we got the groundwork finished:-
And after the PW team worked through the night moving rails, sleepers and fixings to the new site, the track laying gang got busy today
So we could run the works train with Jessie down the line to test out the new trackwork.

What a brilliant idea.... you have your priorities right which are clearly indicated by the names of your stops along the line. It all looks mouthwatering, I hope you enjoyed.
