Felt inspired :-)

Post by JCSteam » Mon Aug 29, 2016 2:08 am

This may be on the wrong board, (forum even??), but after seeing planty's church I felt a bit inspired to get on and built a church ive had sat around for a while tonight and thought id share, its for the kids 6x4' layout, which may be got out tomorrow for a play

This is a Metcalfe card kit for OO Gauge and it'll be the largest of the card kits ive built so far and will be quiet dominating on the layout I have :)

What I started with

Me done for the night, details to add tommorrow like coping stones a clock and other little bits :)

If you stick the OO layout with the church in the garden today then we will let you off ;)

I never knew those kits were laser cut, must be easy to put together now?

They even do laser cut real wood sheds for OO scale these days...

The laser cut components are the sheet bottom left on the table, adds a lot of detail for the lourves at the top of the tower :)

Ps does this count? A 6x4' board is not the easiest to man handle outside

Cheers, I do enjoy them, but as its for the kids layout don't take too much time colouring in the cardboard edges as I've done on some previous all finished off today with coping and other details added on, time to build another :) As its not Garden railways I wont post any further builds, this was really a post to say thanks for the inspiration to Planty, but if anyone's interested PM me and ill send you some pics of future builds :)
