Fascinating little loco - meths burner?
Looks like a single oscillating cylinder. I thought they needed a flywheel but couldn't see one on the loco.

Hi Rik,

Yes, quite correct; meths fired and a single double acting oscillator, it does have a small flywheel and reverser, it was built by Derek Goodall back in the 1980's.

Afan visited the Moel Rhos on Sunday, you can see it from Tony's video but it really runs beautifully. Here's a couple of pics showing the flywheel and reverser. What they don't show - because I didn't get any pics of the other side - is there's a small knurled knob linked to the flywheel/crank which you twist to get it started.
