Cab ride

Sometimes I complain about the time it takes to maintain the track on my railway - how about this which also has overhead catenary?

Just remembered that Melbourne Sparks (the owner of this fine railway) is also a member of our forum, though we've not heard from him for a while.

Great video Rik, shows just what can be achieved where nature conspires against you!

I've watched a few of his videos over the years but this one gives a clear view of how the railway (or tramway) fits into the landscape.

What a wonderful video. I'm not remotely jealous of the size of the layout🤪 I think Melbourne Sparks most recently contributed to the Inspector's itinerary down under.

This is a hugely enjoyable watch. Feels like you're there, and it's an impressive and absorbing journey. The only thing that took me out of it was that the trams coming the other way often had no driver at all (and it doesn't quite look like the Docklands Light Railway). But the best thing is how the line has been maintained to give smooth running and yet still look so natural and neglected. When you factor in the length and the overhead wire it's an amazing accomplishment.

I agree with Simon - very enjoyable to watch.

I love the relationship between the working railway and the untamed environment!
