Unfinished, unpainted coaches trundle round the garden, it having been established that they can’t be coupled closer together because of their length and tight curves on the track — the very essence of the garden railway experience. For me, anyway.
The volume’s quite low on this video.

Lovely smooth running at scale speeds. The gap between the coaches is tad big but I only really noticed it because you mentioned it several times. I know what it's like when there is something that irks me but nobody else notices, so I wouldn't worry about it. If you do get a couple more and all the gaps are the same then it will look fine.

Fine looking coaches; the roof line is reminiscient of SE&CR stock. I'm still in awe of that class 73 !

They look great trundling around the line. Another couple will really complement them.

It does seem rather silly, I have to admit — for a couple of weeks I was completely preoccupied…

Correct! The coaches are sort of generic — but, yes, I swiped the roof shape from pictures of the lovely Isle of Wight and Bluebell SE&CR carriages.

Thank you. It’ll take a while though, I expect.

They look smashin' IMO, but the 73 is still the star of the show!
